I’m currently a tax intern at Goldin Peiser & Peiser CPA firm. The University of Texas at Dallas has been the best educational experience for me. The Accounting Area is what UT Dallas is well-known for; however, the faculty and JSOM Career Management Center are the ones making it outstanding.

I have had an amazing college experience and landed an excellent internship at a great firm.

The Impact Professors Have on Students

I’m very grateful for all the guidance and support of all my faculty, especially Senior Lecturer and Professional Program in Accounting Director Tiffany Bortz. Bortz is a leader who will patiently sit down, listen to what you have to say about your academic plan, career path or even life difficulties, and then give wise and thoughtful pieces of advice for your specific circumstances. She even helped negotiate with my recruiter to arrange my internship time frame so that I would be able to graduate on time. I also love that the JSOM Career Management Center often hosts workshops for resumes, LinkedIn, your elevator pitch and mock interviews. The center has been super beneficial for me to overcome my fear of public speaking and presenting. And don’t forget to utilize Handshake for job seeking. Employers seriously recruit interns and new grads from Handshake!
