The MS in Accounting and Analytics Cohort (STEM) program is a STEM-designated 36 semester credit hour, lock-step program where your faculty have specially chosen all the coursework. The program is designed for students from diverse backgrounds seeking a single cohort experience and wanting to get to know each classmate during their 16-month journey.
Once accepted into the Master’s in Accounting and Analytics Cohort (STEM) program, students can opt into the Master’s in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Cohort (STEM) program. While domain knowledge will remain important for accounting professionals, enhanced technology and data-analytic skills are essential. Data analytic skills are required for data-driven audits, data-driven business performance and risk monitoring, and data-driven decisions. If you choose the second master’s program option, you will receive the Master’s in Accounting and Analytics degree in 16 months and the Master’s in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence four months later, in 20 months. The Class of 2021 Master’s in Accounting and Business Analytics Cohort Programs held their virtual graduation ceremony on May 13, 2021. Senior Associate Dean and Graduate Monica Powell served as Master of Ceremonies. Speakers included Jindal School Dean Hasan Pirkul, Vice Dean Varghese Jacob, Associate Dean of Executive Education John Barden, and student Parker Middleton.

- Comprehensive reinforcements of domain knowledge and reviews for the U.S. CPA examination
- Intense pre-term activities to enhance communication and leadership skills which include improv sessions led by professionals
- Professional visits (virtual or in-person) to Big 4 or Leading firms
- Extensive assistance and guidance for obtaining internships and assistance in determining post-graduation career options
- Advice and assistance with post-graduation career options

I absolutely loved my time in the MS Accounting Cohort Program at UT Dallas!
